The Faces of Cambodia

During our many excursions riding on tuk tuks in Cambodia, we were able to capture some great pictures of people along the roadside. We hope you enjoy the faces of Cambodia!

Enjoying the scenery.

Hey, who's that behind me?

Hello!!!

A family preparing fruit outside their house.
Washing hands.

Balance...impressive!

School girls + baby on handlebars

We rode passed these boys showing off their leaf hats.

Way home from school...notice the third girl in the back?

How most truck beds looked.

My bike's too big!

My shoes are too big!
Helping my mom out.
Easy ride.

My mom owns this gas station/convenience store and I loved posing for this picture. Do you like my earrings, wallet, and fancy shoes?
Cruisin the streets.

Taking my cow for a walk.
We had an AMAZING time during our 5 day visit, mainly because it was so interesting seeing how different life is there. Although Cambodia is very much a poverty stricken country, the people were extremely kind and never hassled us when we were shopping or walking around. Every time we go somewhere new, it makes us never want to stop traveling and learning about all the amazing places in the world!

  1. Melissa, that is so much like Laos! The cultures are very similar, as well as the countryside. My friend Alice Compain lived in Cambodia for many years after being in Laos. She taught a lot of people about Jesus from the Bible because she learned the language. Jeff, our friend from church, will be going to Cambodia later this year. He is in Burma (Myanmar) right now. These countries are so very interesting. We are glad you could visit Cambodia and we will read the other posts, too. Love, Grandma
